Therapy Services

Program Description

RIO Therapy Services are provided by a multidisciplinary team of highly trained and skilled physical and occupational therapists, speech and language pathologists. Assisted by social workers, a consulting neurologist, and referring physicians, the professional staff evaluates and treats disabilities resulting from illness, injury, or birth defects.

RIO offers habilitation and rehabilitation of all ages - from neonates to the geriatric population - with a multitude of conditions such as stroke, head injury, amputation, arthritis, fractures, temporomandibular pain, speech/language and hearing dysfunction, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, developmental delay, laryngectomy, voice disorders, swallowing problems and stuttering.  The common goal is to promote the highest level of functioning for the patient at home, in school, on the job and in the community.

Eligibility Criteria

Persons of all ages are eligible for services
Persons must be medically stable which is verifiable by physician authorization

Admissions Requirements

A written and updated physician order is required
Relevant medical history
Completion of the admission process

All of the above must be completed before receiving services.

Program Days/Hours

Services are provided Monday thru Thursday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Extended hours available by arrangement
Therapy programs are routinely closed on major holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year's

Rates/Funding

RIO accepts private insurance, Medi-Cal, Medicare, Workers' Compensation and private payment
