Vocational Services - Workshop

Eligibility Criteria

The work services program employs individuals 18 years of age or over, with current disabilities primarily due to:

Developmental Disability
Learning Disability
Sensory Impairment
Neurological to Orthopedic Disabilities
Other Physically Limiting Conditions

Admission Requirements


Must have the potential for competitive, supported or facility based employment

Must desire rehabilitative services with a goal of future employment

Have medical authorization, if necessary, to indicate that the individual is medically stable and able to participate in a vocational rehabilitation or habilitation program

Must be able to control his/her behaviors that may be aggressive, assaultive, or otherwise dangerous to self or others

Must have transportation to and from the job site arranged by the client in conjunction with his/her family or referring counselor

Must have, as a primary case manager, a Department of Vocational Rehabilitation, Regional Center of Orange County, or private Rehabilitation Counselor. A non-sponsored client may be accepted dependent upon need and space

Program Days/Hours


The Work Services program is a fulltime program operating Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm.

The program is closed on major holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year's

Rates/Funding Information


The program is funded by the Department of Rehabilitation, Vocational Rehabilitation and Regional Center of Orange County.

Private individuals may pay a fee for services.

Transportation may be funded by the Regional Center of Orange County.
